How Great Shall Be My Joy!

How Great Shall Be My Joy!
Sara at the Provo Temple

Sister Sara in Salt Lake City

Sara entered the MTC on Wednesday, February 3, 2010. Her wonderful friends, Kelsey and Katie, took her to the MTC and "dropped her off at the curb" after their goodbyes. Thanks for helping my girl out.

Soon, two young elders came out to take Sara's luggage and Sara walked into the MTC with "calm and confidence" as Katie put it. Kelsey took some great pictures and promptly sent them to us. Katie gave me a call and said all was well.

So, for the next 18 months, we will follow Sara and her "LIFE BEHIND THE TAG."

Sorry we got to e-mial crazy late. So I only have 10 min to write. I didnt know the family history center closed so early.
Things are good. WE ahve a baptism this Saturday on the 31st. We are trying to go to Temple Square with Tom (nonmember) and his wife (member) this saturday too.
We went hiking yesterday for p-day to Indian Caves. I will be mailing pictures soon. I have some stories but I dont have time to type it all out. Sorry. I will have to write it another time. We went on exchanges yesterday with some ladies from one of our wards and that was great.
We are teaching a 9 year old girl and we bring a primary book with us to lessons and sing primary songs. Well just one per lesson but we are just trying to help her learn song so she does not feel out of place in primary. Its fun. Popcorn popping is a favorite.
Transfers are on Aug. 11th. To answer your question mom.
Well love you tons. Love, Sister Anderson

Sisters Breakfast‏

We had sisters breakfast today at the mission home!!! It was great!!! It was fun to look at tons of pictures/books of Kenna and family. It was also really fun to be with the Winn’s. They are just so awesome. And so funny.

We have a baptism this Friday! Dallas Cannon. He’s nine. Those lessons were some pretty intense lessons. In the Cannon family there are 5 boys. Ages 2-9. It was fun though teaching them. We have to set up the "Sister’s classroom" every time we came to try to make it calm. It would work for about the first 5 min and then we would loose them. haha. But it was great fun and they are fun to teach.

Cameron’s "pep talk" went great! We were supposed to meet with him on Sunday to see how talking with his dad went but his dads plane got stuck in CA. So we are meeting with him on Friday. Cameron is a very busy boy so it’s hard to meet with him. But I am stoked to talk with him!

Our potential that we went to go talk to ended up being 8. haha. But its all good b/c we are still going to help her learn about the church and help the mom get reactivated. They are a wonderful family.

Jaren (on-date for the 31st) is doing great! He is such a smart boy. Every Fast Sunday, since he has been going to church, he has bore his testimony! I have missed it both times! I will hear it one of these days! HE’s a funny kid, after every lesson we ask if he has questions and he always says, "um no you explained it pretty well."

We are meeting a girl and her mother for the first time! The girl, Mellisa, has been going to YW stuff for months and now goes to church!

Yesterday we had a car for like 3 hours! Ok not really a girl in one of our wards was free for 3 hours so she was able to drive us around! It was wonderful!

People are amazing in Tooele. I just love it here. I know I say that is like every e-mail but I really do. They are all so willing to help us. Like we got it down for rides that we have not used our bikes in like a week.

So I taught Sister Tagawa how to play I spy. haha. From time to time when we are walking we will play. It’s great.

Long story short, I left my planner in the other sister’s car on Saturday. And b/c on Sunday all of us are always at church anywhere from 8 am - 4:30 pm we really don’t have time to just drop off something. So I didn’t have a planner till Monday! It was awful to say the least, and Sister Tagawa and I have to separate from 9-2 because we had investigators and less actives going to church at the same time. I just felt lost with out a companion or a planner! So once I got my planner back on Monday I was very happy!

Oh yes mom I did get your package. Thank! I love them they are so cute.

Ok well I am out of time. Love you tons! Love, Sister Anderson

Dear Sister Anderson,

Your daughter is living in my home and she is anxious to let you know that she met her new mission president and his wife today so I offered to send you an email. I have attached a picture that she wants you to have.

From left to right: Elder Nelson, Elder Campbell, Sister Anderson, Sister Tagawa, Sister Winn, President Winn

Sister Anderson is with us for her third transfer and we love having her here. I may not let her leave. :) It is so fun to have the sister missionaries in our home. We also got to meet Abby a couple of weeks ago. You have some wonderful daughters!

I love the Winn’s! Zone Conference was amazing. They are just the most AMAZING people ever! I love them! They are just so funny and so involved with us as missionaries. Both Pres and Sister Winn are going to be going out with the missionaries. I almost forgot!!! The DRESS CODE changed!!!!! like world wide. This is from the 12. We can have shorter skirts and have patterns! When we sit down our knees have to be covered, that’s the rule with skirts! So today the 4 of us (in Tooele) went to DI and just went crazy! Ok not really. I got 2 new skirts and 2 new shirts! So exciting! We don’t have to wear nylons from conference to conference (April-Oct. no nylons!) Oh and sister Winn said that we could grow out our hair and have cute ponytails. Not just throw it up kind of stuff. So today I have my hair up in the up-do bun thing, you know what I am talking about mom. I love it! We got our bikes Saturday....its hard not going to lie. Ha-ha. I am some pretty awesome tan lines now! On Saturday night we ate like 3 times b/c everywhere we went everyone wanted to feed us. It was pretty intense. We taught the stop smoking program to two less actives (now becoming active) and we put their son, Dallas on-date! Its very exciting! WE are meeting with a potential on Thursday and I am so excited for that! Well he would have been baptized already but his dad is anti so that does not really work out. So pretty much we are going to have an epic pep talk with him about talking to his dad and then go baptize! This kid, Cameron, is just amazing! The first time I saw him I could just see the tag on him in the future! Such an amazing kid! I absolutely love Tooele! There are just amazing people here! I already decided I am coming back here after my mission! Sorry the internet is down so we only have a few computers for all the missionaries so we have to make is short this week. Oh and the printer is not working so I am not able to print off the e-mails therefore I cant read your e-mails this week. I will just wait for next week. Thanks mom, I got the Stamps. Only in Utah will you get a pioneer bonnet after your dinner apt.......its green. Ha-ha. Love you tons! Thanks for the e-mails sorry I could not read them this week. Love, Sister Anderson

I love love love Pres. and sister Winn!!!! They did interviews with us yesterday at our apartment!! It was so exciting to finally meet them!! They are just so awesome!!!! We have zone conference on Monday so we get the see again in just a few short days! Oh man I just love them! It was funny they asked sister Tagawa about her family and then they got to me and I go well I guess you know all about my family. They are just so awesome and I am so looking forward to the next year and some with them. Oh I forgot this last week.....Happy Birthday Andrew and Sydney!!!! Marshall's baptism went great! He is just so awesome! I printed off some pictures and will get those to you asap. Well of course I forgot stamps again today! So I will just wait till Monday to mail those off to y'all when I get the stamps from you mom. Thanks for sending me some by the way. Jaren is on-date for the 31st! It would have been sooner but they are going out of town or random things are happening that they cant do it till then. But its all good because its happening on the 31st! Right now we are working on finding new people to teach. We found a girl yesterday but she is moving! But she is still going to live in Tooele but we are just going to have to wait a few weeks till we teach her. We are having dinner today with a part member family so we are hoping we can start teaching her. The temple is closed for the next 3 weeks. I don’t know what I am going to do with all my free time! I will get lots of letter writing done! Thanks for the e-mail! Love you all lots! Love, Sister Anderson

So there are these cool glasses that one of my bishops have. Google them. They are called, Clic Readers. You will never loose glasses again if you get these! I was telling him how you loose
Glasses a lot and he said he did too till he got these. He said you could only order them online though. Thanks for your wonderful e-mail dad! I love you tons and tons! I can’t wait to read your talk. I can’t print it off now b/c I am at the library and it costs money to print. SO I will print it next week. Thanks for sending me pictures from the wedding. I got 2 different sets of them! Thanks for everything! Love you, Sara.

I stayed in TOOELE!!! But I got a new companion, once again, Sister Tagawa, from Japan. I am super excited to have her as a companion! She was in my zone a coup[le transfers ago so It will be fun to have her as a comp. Oh and I DON’T have a CAR this transfer. hahaha. Pres Sonne is leaving and he is the one that made sure all sisters had a car for their safety. Now that he is leaving in less then a week there are 2 companionships of sisters that are walking this transfer. I called sister Sonne to get permission to get bikes, she is letting us! So later today the Zone Leaders are bringing me and sister Tagawa bikes! I have mixed feelings on not having a car. But it will be exciting to get tan!

Before I forget, I need stamps. I always forget to buy them and now that I don’t have a car I cant just run to the post office and grab some.

Marshall’s baptism is this Saturday! I am super excited about it. I love this kid!

I guess I really don’t need to tell you about Abby and Kelsey coming b/c by the sounds of it you heard a play by play from them. But it was loads of fun to have them all come. I got a CD from Brother Bradfield from mine and Abby’s "photo shot" It was so fun. I was going to print some off and send them to you but the CD didn’t work at Walmart so I guess I will just send you the CD.

Gary’s the "21 day Promise" Just were you pray for people on a list that you make of non members and LA's and read scriptures for 21 days and the promise is that someone from that list will talk to the missionaries or start coming to church. Stuff like that. Well at Garry’s baptism, Bro Powell, one of Garry’s friends, goes Hey Sister Anderson look at
this. He pulls out his 21 day promise sheet and the first name on the list was Garry's. How awesome is that!

Oh so I don’t know if Abby told you, well I am sure she did, but we went over to a less actives house and his teeth were just chillin on the table! Ha-ha. Oh it was so hard not to laugh.

Kids are funny. We went to a member’s house to tell them transfers were coming up and the kids were outside cleaning. Well to try and get the kids to work faster the dad went outside to tell them we were there and so the little girl asked if she could come in and of course the dad said no that they needed to finish their work. Then she goes “But dad, they are very poor people!" hahaha. It was so random but I got a kick out of it b/c it’s so true.

Things are going great. Thanks for the e-mails mom and dad! Love you all. Love, Sister Anderson
